5: Throttle Valve
Here's some of my working notes to build the throttle valve. It lets the steam out of the boiler and
into the valving of the engine. Maximum working pressure is 200 psi.
Thought / paper / metallic reality. Top right is the "displacement oiler" purchased from Coles. You
put steam oil in there, and it mixes with the steam and provides lubrication to the engine. The engine
body and piston are both made out of cast iron, and they will seize without oil.
