American Steamers
Welcome!
First, let me acquaint you with what is happening. The Committee (leadership) of the Steam Car Club of Great Britain (SCCGB) has decided to put more emphasis on the American steam community. This new section is especially for American SCCGB Members and potential Members. I have been a member for nearly 10 years and during that time I have had no idea of who else in this country was also involved. I have also not seen Club medallions, stickers, logos, flyers and other items showing a presence or recognition of the SCCGB at meets and other steam car events. In my opinion the SCCGB is the finest steam car club in the world with over 20 countries participating. It is my hope that we can form a communicating and active group of SCCGB members in this country.

Membership is the key to our influence in the Club. The bigger we are, the more steam car owners we can reach. It would be great if we had a bigger part of the excellent website www.steamcar.net and more coverage in the wonderful Club magazine The Steam Car. With a more active American group this will be possible; thus, one of the reasons for this new section.
Recruitment by all of us can enlarge our American Membership in the SCCGB. HERE you will find an application form adapted for use in this country as a PDF. If each of us recruited just one new member we would double our size!

Membership in the Steam Car Club has several benefits.
Such as, access to The Forum on our Club website. This allows open communication with other steam car owners around the world. Also, receiving The Steam Car Club magazine with pictures and articles from around the world. Past issues have included both pictures and articles from America. I would encourage all to send in pictures and interesting items from our steam world in the US and Canada. Club clothing will also be available to Americans in the near future.
