Blue Stone Steam Car Tour April 2008 DVD (SOLD OUT)
The coast and hills of Pembrokeshire, Wales proved a real test of driving, navigating and steam car engineering for the 20 plus cars taking part. There were few level roads and gradients were severe. Navigators saw little of the magnificent coastal and inland scenery as they needed every scrap of concentration to follow the clearly presented directions; it was the complexity of narrow, steep lanes with many turnings & junctions which proved such a challenge. The effort was more than worthwhile to enjoy tearooms, pubs (one with sawdust on the floor), sweeping views of mountains and ocean, visits to a coracle centre, wood turnery, wool factory, cathedral and ancient stone burial chamber. The sights and sounds of steam cars at full stretch are covered in abundance, and not without incident!.
Following the cars were the film crew, who produces DVD's of steaming events,
this film has captured the steam cars and their crews, and we see the cars cruising through
the beautiful English countryside, he also managed to capture some of the struggles to get burners
to light, and the fire under control, or just keeping them going until the end of the day.
Cars parked at one of the many stops organised during the tour.
The DVD's come in a printed cover, and picture DVD.
The film was available as a DVD and runs for approx 117 minutes
